Protecting Your Personal Information

You don’t need to share personal information to make a genuine connection. Being thoughtful about what you share — and when — keeps you in control.

Privacy settings in the app

Before you’ve met someone in person and built real trust, avoid sharing:

  • Your home address or exact neighbourhood
  • Your workplace name and location
  • Financial information of any kind
  • Copies of ID or personal documents
  • Your personal phone number — use in-app messaging until you’re comfortable

There’s no rush. A person worth meeting will respect that you take your time.

LatinFlare has built-in privacy controls you can use to manage your visibility:

  • Location — the app shows your general distance from other users, not your exact location. You control how precise this is in your privacy settings.
  • Incognito mode — browse profiles without appearing in other people’s feeds or showing read receipts
  • Block — immediately removes someone from your experience and prevents any further contact

Manage your privacy and account settings.

Be cautious about sending photos directly outside the app, particularly photos that contain identifiable information (your home, your car number plate, landmarks near where you live).

If someone is using your personal information in a way that makes you feel unsafe:

  1. Block and report the user in the app immediately
  2. Contact local authorities if you feel at risk
  3. Reach out to support at latinflare@support.ruvikgroup.com and our team will help
